ETZ HAIM

Judaism without walls
Associate member of the Conservative Movement

assembleacomunitria.jfif

Etz Haim is a Community of Jewish Life associated with the Masorti/Conservative Movement, characterized by great intellectual and human openness. Intellectual openness because it proposes Jewish studies and opportunities for Jewish life in a way that is free of dogmatism, in an attempt to harmonize the richness of Jewish tradition with the demands of modernity. Human openness because the community is open to Jews of all horizons, but also to non-Jews sincerely interested in Judaism. These openings are necessary so that Judaism can retain its character as a bold and daring spiritual quest.

Etz Haim also proposes a Judaism without walls because, in view of the wide geographic distribution of its members, many of its activities take place online, providing an opportunity for many otherwise isolated people to experience, share and study Judaism.

Etz Haim, headquartered in Genoa,  offers regular Jewish studies and religious services for Shabbat and Holidays under the leadership of Rabbi Haim F. Cipriani, as well as meetings held in various locations in Italy.
